The Miami East School District is exploring the feasibility of a trial-year implementation of an on-site random drug-testing program for students involved in extra-curricular activities at Miami East. Great Lakes Biomedical a third-party vendor will be in the Miami East High School cafeteria on June 6th at 6:30 p.m. for a parent presentation.
Parents of students in grades 7-12 that are participating in an extra-curricular activity, including marching band, for the upcoming school year are invited to attend this meeting to listen to the procedures that would be implemented.

Summer Building Office Hours
Summer office hours for all three buildings and the Board of Education Offices
are posted on our website. The first day for all students for the 2016-2017 school year will be August 23, 2016. Registration and opening dates are also posted on the Miami East web site.
Information regarding Girls' Elementary Volleyball and Basketball Camps are posted on the front page of the elementary website.
8th Grade Promotion
The 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony was held on May 25th in the K-8 auditeria. Parents, friends, and families attended. Students were individually recognized much like a graduation during the traditional program. A special thanks to Mr. Mack, Mr. Iiames, the junior high staff, and the students for a job well done!
Need an Athletic Physical Form??
Athletic physical forms are available on the Junior High and High School home web sites.
All work permits are issued at Miami East High School. Applications are available in the main office and on the District’s web site. If you need a work permit completed over the summer contact Dr. Rappold at 335-7505.

Twelve spellers in the Miami Valley qualified for National Spelling Bee Collaborative Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. These spellers attained a score to qualify for this important round. We are excited that Andrew Christian from Miami East Junior High School will be one of these spellers!!
