  • Girls Mini-Volleyball Camp grades K-3

    When: July 21st-22nd, 2016*

    High School: Thursday, and Friday: 9am-11:30am (K-3rd grade)

    *This is a TWO (2) day camp. All Campers get a t-shirt! Please check the school website,, or call the Athletic Office for further details. Please wear athletic clothing. No special apparel is required. This will be an exciting, fun filled introduction to the world of Volleyball!!

    Ohio's Sales Tax Holiday. The holiday starts on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 12:00 a.m. and ends on Sunday, August 7, 2016 at 11:59 p.m., the Ohio Department of Taxation (ODT) announced.   It provides for a one-time sales tax holiday only in 2016.  According to the law, the following items are exempt from sales and use tax during the tax holiday:

    - An item of clothing priced at $75 or less.
    - An item of school supplies priced at $20 or less.
    - An item of school instructional material priced at $20 or less.

    Summer Building Office Hours

    Summer office hours for all three buildings and the Board of Education Offices

    are posted on our website.  The first day for all students for the 2016-2017 school year will be August 23, 2016.  Registration and opening dates are also posted on the Miami East web site.

    Need an Athletic Physical Form??
    Athletic physical forms are available on the Junior High and High School home web sites.

    Work Permits 

    All work permits are issued at Miami East High School. Applications are available in the main office and on the District’s web site.  If you need a work permit completed over the summer contact Dr. Rappold at 335-7505.

    ACT Testing
    Below are the upcoming ACT Testing registration deadlines and testing dates. Informational packets can be picked up in the high school office. We recommend Juniors to take the ACT in April and/or June.  If you have additional questions please contact Mr. Rutledge. (site to register)

    The Miami East School District approved a trial-year implementation of an on-site random drug-testing program for students involved in extra-curricular activities at Miami East.

    Parents of students in grades 7-12 that are participating in an extra-curricular activity, including marching band, for the upcoming school year will be included in the random tests. 

    If you have any questions regarding this pilot program feel free to contact either Dr. Rappold or Mr. Donaldson.

    Attention Incoming Kindergarten Students for the 2016-2017 school year. This is a reminder to parents of incoming Kindergartners you need to have your physical and shot records returned to the elementary office by the first day of school.
