Welcome to my webpage! I graduated with honors from Troy High School in 1995. I then attended Ohio University and Wright State University, where I graduated Magna cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I earned my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. I spent my first year teaching at The Dayton Academy in Dayton, and this is my nineteenth year at Miami East.
I have been married for nineteen years to my husband Nathaniel, who is a Financial Advisor with Wright Patt Credit Union. We have two beautiful daughters. Gretchen, who is fifteen, is a sophomore at MEHS, and Bianca is twelve and is in sixth grade. We also have two dogs, Lyla and Clover. We are proud residents of Miami East School District (Go Vikings!).
In my free time (what's that?) I enjoy reading, rubber stamping, scrapbooking, and spending time with my family. I love to travel, especially to the beach, and look forward to our family vacation to North Myrtle Beach each summer.
By far, my favorite thing about teaching is my students. I'm so fortunate to get to spend so much time with them each day.
