  • Prom will be held on Saturday, April 15th at the Fort Piqua Plaza from 7:30pm - 9:30 pm. Promenade will be starting at 6:45 pm. Tickets will go on sale for prom and after Prom on Wednesday, March 29  (from 7:00 am until 6:30 pm ONLY on March 29th ), then before school, after school, and during meeting period only from Thursday, March 29th until Thursday, April 13th. Seniors are Free, Juniors that worked concessions are Free, Juniors who didn’t work their concessions, underclassmen, and out of school guests will be $20. Outside guest forms and the student dance policy forms on Final Forms need to be turned in prior to purchasing tickets. Ticket will not be sold during Spring Break. ABSOLUTELY NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. Promenade forms are available in the front office. Please return these forms to Mrs. Hall as soon as possible.

    The Junior Parents cordially invite all Miami East juniors and seniors to After-Prom 2023 at Scene 75. After-Prom is from 11:00-1:30am. Buses will depart promptly at 10:15 after boarding. All students attending After-Prom must ride to and from Scene 75 on the buses, no exceptions! Miami East High School will be open to change into casual attire. After-Prom is $10.00 each for all students and guests. No students/guests will be permitted to attend After-Prom if they are not attending Miami East’s Prom (or MVCTC prom with proof of tickets). The Miami East buses will return to Miami East High school by 2:00 am. Deadline to purchase After-Prom tickets is Thursday, April 13th in the high school office. No tickets will be sold during Spring Break or after the deadline. All waivers need to be turned in by Thursday, April 13th. Also, if you plan to jump in the jumpy please bring socks with you!

    Attention Seniors: At graduation we have 2 slide shows - the first is the slide that will be displayed when you receive your diploma - this will have both a senior picture and a baby picture. The second is the class memory slideshow that will be set to music and played prior to the start of graduation – while guests are arriving and being seated. Please send us your pictures! Baby pictures & Senior pictures - please send to or bring hard copies to the office to be scanned. The memory slideshow pictures (any grade k-12 - group shots are best!) we will start collecting in the near future, so get your pictures ready! Please reach out to Mrs. Hurst or Mrs. Hall if you have any questions.

    Attention seniors - There is a sign-up sheet in the office for your EXIT marching partner for graduation. You will be ENTERING graduation in single file but you will leave with a friend.

    The Miami East Education Foundation is selling Viking Strong car decals as a FUNdraiser for scholarships. $6.00 of every purchase will be donated! Decals are on sale at winter athletic events.     The 95th National FFA Convention is the largest event hosted by the National FFA. 20 members of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA chapter were in attendance at the convention in Indianapolis.

    Over 65,000 members, parents, and guests were in attendance at the National FFA Convention. Previous conventions were held in Kansas City, Missouri and Louisville, Kentucky.

    The Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter received a Three-Star National Chapter Award, the highest award bestowed to an FFA Chapter. The chapter was selected for this honor based on its activities during the previous school year, in the areas of growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture.

    2023 Summer Shutdown Week

    2023 Summer Shutdown Week will be July 3rd thru July 9th. Enjoy your week off!  Miami East has instituted a mandatory shutdown period for all Miami East students in grades 7 - 12 in Athletics, Band, and all extra-curricular activities for this week.   All school facilities will be closed, and there will be no practices or activities this week.

    Have you updated your information in FinalForms yet?  All parents in grades 1st thru 12th are required every year to verify and update information in FinalForms as soon as possible for the 2022-23 school year to ensure that they receive important school updates.

    Vaccinations.  7th and 12th graders are required to turn in their vaccinations.  If you have any questions, please contact the building's office.


    The Miami East School District will periodically utilize the One Call Now system to relay information to parents.  The alerts will be sent to your home phone number. 

    If you would like to switch your home phone number to a cell number instead…simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change at

    Even if you updated your phone number last year, please contact Dr. Rappold with any phone number you want listed other than your home number this year.  This update must be completed every year.  Simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change and the name of your son/daughter at

    Progress Book.  For the 2022-2023 school year the Miami East School District will once again utilize Progress Book to updates students and parents regarding grades. Progress Book is a district-wide, web-based solution for K-12 schools. Progress Book enables parents and students to see student progress and see grades online. It can be accessed 24/7 from any internet web-browser.  Please utilize Progress Book to stay updated on your son/daughter’s grades.
