    Teacher In-service – No School for Students

    There will be NO SCHOOL for Miami East students on Monday, October 18th, due to an in-service day for teachers in the area.


    In October we wear pink to show support for those affected by Breast Cancer. Our Miami East Senior Football Moms would like to honor one of our own on Friday, October 22 during our Senior Night football game versus the Covington Buccs.  See the front page for more details.

    College Financial Aid Night

    Miami East High School will be hosting Financial Aid Night virtually on Tuesday, October 19th at 7:00 p.m.   MariBeth Yoder, Enrollment Advisor from Wright State University, will be presenting.  She will discuss the FAFSA process, changes to it, loans, grants, and give other helpful information. 


    Attention Freshman: Jostens will be here tomorrow to meet with you about class rings around meeting period.


    blNational Honor Society will be sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, September 30 from 9:30 - 12:30 p.m.  If you would like to save a life, you must be 16 or older.   See Mrs. Sroufe in Room 217 for permission forms.  Once those are returned, you can sign up to donate.     


    Fall Senior Night has been postponed. It is now scheduled for October 22nd prior to the Miami East vs. Covington football game.


    Attention NHS members: This is a reminder to pay your dues.


    National Honor Society will be sponsoring a blood drive on Thursday, September 30 from 9:30 - 12:30 p.m.  If you would like to save a life, you must be 16 or older.   See Mrs. Sroufe in Room 217 for permission forms.  Once those are returned, you can sign up to donate.     

    Don't forget that you will need to have permission from your teacher to miss class, so try to schedule your donation time during your study hall.  


    You are part of the student body and you matter! Join Mystery Mail ASAP so you can get to know someone new at our school. Signups will be closing soon. With close to 100 participants, you don't want to be the one to miss out on this opportunity. Sign up in the front office, on the Hope Squad bulletin board, or with Mrs. Perry.


    Attention Juniors and Seniors:  ACT and PSAT signup sheets are in Mrs. Rose’s office.  ACT is $48 and test is to be given on October 5th.  PSAT is $18 and test is to be given on October 13th.


    The 2022 Miami East yearbook is now on pre-order!!!  Please see Mrs. Sroufe or the high school office for an order form.  The cheapest price is available until September 30.  After that, the price will go up!!  There are also extra 2021 yearbooks available for $60. Please see Mrs. Sroufe if you would like to purchase a copy of the yearbook that was just passed out!!



    It's time!!! Our first big Athletic Boosters' fundraiser of the year--THE HOG RAFFLE—is here! $5/ticket to win an Eichhorn Show Pig AND free processing by Caven's Meats.

    Winner will be announced: Friday, October 1 at HOMECOMING FOOTBALL GAME at half time of game and on FACEBOOK LIVE.

    HOMECOMING DANCE AGREEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE FRONT OFFICE.  You and your date are required to sign this prior to being sold tickets for the event scheduled for October 2nd.  If you plan to attend Homecoming and don’t have a form, stop by the front office to pick one up!


    Miami East Local is excited to offer all its students a free Type A lunch beginning on August 25, 2021.  All students in grade K-12, have the opportunity to receive free lunch each school day until further notice.

    All students are eligible to receive a free tray lunch. Additional items, such as a la carte selections, extra meals, or extra milks will have to be paid for by the student.


    Congratulations to the Miami East FFA for being recognized as a Top Ten Chapter in the state in the area of Building Communities.

    Congrats to Lauren Wright for being named the State Winner in the Vegetable Production Proficiency!!! Congrats to Emma S for being named the State Runner-Up in the Goat Production Proficiency!!!


    C Just a reminder, this cannot be stressed enough.  Repeat after me...if anyone in your household is being tested...everyone needs to stay home until you receive the results.  If in doubt… please contact Dr. Rappold before sending your son/daughter to school.  It takes everyone’s teamwork to ensure everyone is safe.

    The Miami East School District will periodically utilize the One Call Now system to relay information to parents.  The alerts will be sent to your home phone number. 

    If you would like to switch your home phone number to a cell number instead…simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change at trappold@miamieast.k12.oh.us

    Even if you updated your phone number last year, please contact Dr. Rappold with any phone number you want listed other than your home number this year.  This update must be completed every year.  Simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change and the name of your son/daughter at trappold@miamieast.k12.oh.us

    Progress Book.  For the 2021-2022 school year the Miami East School District will once again utilize Progress Book to updates students and parents regarding grades. Progress Book is a district-wide, web-based solution for K-12 schools. Progress Book enables parents and students to see student progress and see grades online. It can be accessed 24/7 from any internet web-browser.  Please utilize Progress Book to stay updated on your son/daughter’s grades.
