    If you are interested in participating in the blood drive on October 29, please see Mrs. Sroufe for the paperwork.  The paperwork need to be filled out and returned before you can sign up for a time to give blood.  If you are 16 years of age or older, please consider donating your time and blood to a great cause!

    Tournament News

    The lady Vikings soccer team will open tournament play on Tuesday, October 16 when they host Franklin Monroe in a 7:00 p.m. game.

    The boys’ soccer team will open tournament play on Monday, October 15 when they host Stivers in a 7:00 p.m. game.

    The #4 seed volleyball team will play Madison on Tuesday, October 16.  That game will be played at Brookville High School at 5:00.


    Picture Retakes are TOMORROW for anyone who did not get their picture taken or would like to have their picture retaken.  If you would like a picture retake, be sure to bring back the pictures you received to give to the photographers. Senior boys must wear a shirt with a collar (ties are optional), and senior girls should dress appropriately.  Students attending the CTC, UVCC and off campus colleges should plan to get their pictures taken enough ahead of time to arrive at school on time. Pictures can be taken as early as 6:40 am. If you have any questions, please contact the office. Additional picture packets are available in the office.


    Attention any senior who is playing a fall sport or is in band.  If you are planning to participate in senior night, please give your confirmation form to Mrs Snider as soon as possible.


    How about learning about Science and Engineering by actually DOING Science and Engineering? Come learn more about the Science and Engineering Fair during the meeting period on Thursday, October 18 in Room 208. If you are interested but can't attend, speak with Mr. Scott, Mrs. Weldy, Mrs. Bair, or Mrs. Carity.


    There will be conditioning at the track followed by open gym today from 2:45-4:30 p.m. for boys basketball players not in a fall sport.  Basketball players should plan to meet at the track after school.

    2019 OMEA All
    2019 OMEA All-State Choir MEHS Students
    Congratulations to Andrew Bevan, Gavin Horne, Caleb Lozano, and Rebecca Patch on being accepted by audition to the OMEA All-State Choir.  There were more than 900 auditions sent in, and only 160 accepted.  These students will rehearse and perform at the Ohio Music Educators Association State Convention January 31 to February 2, 2019 in Cleveland, OH.

    The Miami East School District will periodically utilize the One Call Now system to relay information to parents.  The alerts will be sent to your home phone number. 

    If you would like to switch your home phone number to a cell number instead…simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change at trappold@miamieast.k12.oh.us

    Even if you updated your phone number last year, please contact Dr. Rappold with any phone number you want listed other than your home number this year.  This update must be completed every year.  Simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change and the name of your son/daughter at trappold@miamieast.k12.oh.us


    Athletic Passes.  Viking fans may purchase a limited season pass.  These punch passes are only good for 10 admissions, but those can be any home sporting event.  Punch passes may be purchased for students or adults, high school or junior high events.  The price for an adult pass for high school games is $54, while a student pass for high school games is $20.  The cost of an adult pass for junior high games will be $36, while a student pass for junior high games will be $20.

    Progress Book.  For the 2018-2019 school year the Miami East School District will once again utilize Progress Book to updates students and parents regarding grades. Progress Book is a district-wide, web-based solution for K-12 schools. Progress Book enables parents and students to see student progress and see grades online. It can be accessed 24/7 from any internet web-browser.  Please utilize Progress Book to stay updated on your son/daughter’s grades.
