  • The Junior Class of Miami East High School cordially invites all juniors and seniors to A Blush of Elegance on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 from 7:00-10:30 at the Crystal Room, 845 w. Market Street in Troy.
     
    Tickets will be on sale from Wednesday April 17th – Thursday, April 25th before school, after school, and during lunch. No tickets will be sold at the door and you must have a ticket to attend!  All Miami East juniors that worked their 1 event and Miami East seniors will receive a free ticket.  All juniors that didn’t work their event, the cost is $60 and all underclassmen or out of school guests are $20.00. 
     
    If you plan to bring an out of school guest, you must have a completed guest form at the time of purchasing tickets.  If you did not attend Homecoming, you must have a dance policy on file with the office before attending prom.  

    The Junior Parents cordially invite all Miami East juniors and seniors to After-Prom 2019 at Scene 75.  After-Prom is from 11:30-2:00am.  

    You should arrive at Miami East High School and be ready to board the buses at 10:45 to attend After-Prom. Buses will depart promptly at 10:55.   All attending After-Prom must ride to and from Scene 75 on the buses, no exceptions! Miami East High School will be open to change into casual attire.  After-Prom is $10.00 for Miami East juniors and seniors and $20 for underclassmen or out of school guests. No underclassmen or out of school guests will be permitted to attend if they are not attending Miami East Prom. The Miami East buses will return to Miami East High school by 2:30 am.  Deadline to purchase After-Prom tickets is Thursday, April 25th in the high school office. No tickets will be sold after the Thursday deadline. All waivers need to be turned in before Thursday, April 25th.


    All juniors and seniors attending Prom, please turn in your Promenade information sheet to Mrs. Hall by Thursday, April 25th. Promenade will begin at 6:45pm and end at 8:15pm.


    Attention animal lovers! The FFA is hosting an animal drive for the Miami County Animal Shelter. We are accepting Dog food, Puppy food, Dog and cat treats, Cat food, Kitten food, Kitty litter, Dog and puppy shampoo, Flea spray, Cat toys, Cat beds, Combs, brushes, flea combs. Donations will be accepted until WEDNESDAY. Donations can be dropped off in the Ag shop.


    Senior shirt orders have been extended to Thursday, April 18.  They will not be extended again.  Shirts are $20 and order sign up is in the office. 


    Attention Seniors: A baby picture and a current picture needs to be turned in by Friday, April 26th to the High School office. These pictures will be used when receiving your diploma at graduation. Also pictures are needed for the Senior Memories slide show.


    Attention Seniors: It is now time to sign up with your walking partner at graduation. Stop by the front office with your request by Friday, April 26th.


    Attention juniors and seniors: Fletcher United Methodist Church invited you to a free lasagna dinner for prom. Doors open at 5:00 pm and dinner is served at 5:30 pm. For reservations please call 937-368-2470. Reservations are REQUIRED to attend. If you leave a message please let them know any dietary restrictions. Reservations need to be made by TOMORROW or the event may be cancelled due to lack of response.


    Attention seniors - our next Kindergarten reading buddy is WEDNESDAY at 1:15 PM - this is a change in time due to EOC testing! Any questions, see Mrs.  Hurst!


    Reminder Seniors who applied for the Alumni Scholarship forms and money are due back to Mr. Rutledge or Mrs. Snider by TOMORROW. Questions? See. Mr. Rutledge.


    Attention seniors - a final transcript request form and a senior survey have been posted in the Senior Google Classroom.  Please complete these at your earliest convenience. 


    Attention seniors: If you would like to work at the school on Monday, April 22nd to earn some community service hours please contact Mr. Kinder.

    BEWARE OF SCHOLARSHIP SCAMSA good rule of thumb is “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!”  All sources for scholarship information are available at no cost.  A Service that charges a fee is only doing the same thing and finding out the same information that you can – for free.

    The Miami East School District will periodically utilize the One Call Now system to relay information to parents.  The alerts will be sent to your home phone number. 

    If you would like to switch your home phone number to a cell number instead…simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change at trappold@miamieast.k12.oh.us

    Even if you updated your phone number last year, please contact Dr. Rappold with any phone number you want listed other than your home number this year.  This update must be completed every year.  Simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change and the name of your son/daughter at trappold@miamieast.k12.oh.us


    Athletic Passes.  Viking fans may purchase a limited season pass.  These punch passes are only good for 10 admissions, but those can be any home sporting event.  Punch passes may be purchased for students or adults, high school or junior high events.  The price for an adult pass for high school games is $54, while a student pass for high school games is $20.  The cost of an adult pass for junior high games will be $36, while a student pass for junior high games will be $20.

    Progress Book.  For the 2018-2019 school year the Miami East School District will once again utilize Progress Book to updates students and parents regarding grades. Progress Book is a district-wide, web-based solution for K-12 schools. Progress Book enables parents and students to see student progress and see grades online. It can be accessed 24/7 from any internet web-browser.  Please utilize Progress Book to stay updated on your son/daughter’s grades.
