  • For all of April ME FFA will be collecting paper towels and toilet paper. This will be a competition between all of the first period classes. One roll of paper towels will be worth 3 points and a roll of toilet paper will be worth 1 point. The class with the most points at the end of April will win donuts. We will be around during 7th period to pick up the items donated. If you need us to pick up the items please let us know.

    We will be having a blood drive at Miami East on Tuesday, April 13.  If you are at least 16 years old, please see Mrs. Sroufe in Room 217 for permission forms.  Seniors will have first dibs to sign up, then Juniors, then Sophomores.  You can sign up for a time to give blood during one of your study halls once your papers are signed and returned.  See Mrs. Sroufe ASAP for paperwork!!

    Reminder seniors looking for work: Harztell Fan will be here next Thursday the 15 th doing interviews. See Mr. Rutledge if interested.

    2021-2022 Student Scheduling Process:

    Feb 3 & 4: Current Juniors, Sophomores & Freshmen will receive scheduling forms

    Week of Feb 8: Teachers will present class offerings/options within their departments to their current students

    Week of Feb 8: Teachers will sign/approve course selections for their current students

    Feb 17: Scheduling forms are due to the counseling office

    Free lunches offered to all students Extended

    Miami East Local is excited to continue offering all its students a free Type A lunch extending thru May 28th.  All students in grade K-12 have the opportunity to receive free lunch each school day thru May 28, 2021. All students are eligible to receive a free tray lunch. Additional items, such as a la carte selections, extra meals, or extra milks will have to be paid for by the student.

    C Just a reminder, this cannot be stressed enough.  Repeat after me...if anyone in your household is being tested...everyone needs to stay home until you receive the results.  If in doubt… please contact Dr. Rappold before sending your son/daughter to school.  It takes everyone’s teamwork to ensure everyone is safe.


    Substitute Custodian
    Have you ever thought about being a substitute custodian? We are currently looking for substitute custodians that can be available on an as needed basis. If interested in becoming a custodian please send an email to Dr. Rappold or call at 937-335-750


    The Miami East School District will periodically utilize the One Call Now system to relay information to parents.  The alerts will be sent to your home phone number. 

    If you would like to switch your home phone number to a cell number instead…simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change at

    Even if you updated your phone number last year, please contact Dr. Rappold with any phone number you want listed other than your home number this year.  This update must be completed every year.  Simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change and the name of your son/daughter at

    Progress Book.  For the 2020-2021 school year the Miami East School District will once again utilize Progress Book to updates students and parents regarding grades. Progress Book is a district-wide, web-based solution for K-12 schools. Progress Book enables parents and students to see student progress and see grades online. It can be accessed 24/7 from any internet web-browser.  Please utilize Progress Book to stay updated on your son/daughter’s grades.
