  • Lady Vikings vs Covington Thursday is our annual Hoops for Hope game to support Hospice of Miami County. Basket raffle during the jv game and Miracle Minute at halftime of varsity game. Come support this great cause and watch some good basketball!

    The Bethel and Miami East Hope Squads are joining together to sponsor Hoops for Hope night at the Bethel Versus Miami East Boys Basketball game on February 3rd.

    The Hope Squads work to support suicide and mental health awareness and to fight the stigma around getting help.  Help us spread the message of hope because, “You Matter.”

    The Miami East Education Foundation is selling Viking Strong car decals as a FUNdraiser for scholarships. $6.00 of every purchase will be donated! Decals are on sale at winter athletic events.     Kindergarten Registration Kindergarten registration dates for the 2023-2024 school year have been set for Thursday, May 4th and Friday, May 5th, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., in our kindergarten classrooms. Your child is eligible to begin Kindergarten at Miami East Elementary in the 2023-2024 school year if your child will be five years old on or before August 1, 2023 and meets the residency requirements.     VikingFest 2023

    VikingFest 2023 is coming!  Mark your calendars:  February 25, 2023, 10-3, Miami East Elementary/Junior High Building.  VikingFest 2023 will feature baking contests with prizes, silent auction, ME student art displays, free stage entertainment, cake walks, carnival games, food, and much more.  This is the only fund-raiser sponsored by the Miami East Education Foundation.  All proceeds benefit Miami East students. 

    The 95th National FFA Convention is the largest event hosted by the National FFA. 20 members of the Miami East-MVCTC FFA chapter were in attendance at the convention in Indianapolis.

    Over 65,000 members, parents, and guests were in attendance at the National FFA Convention. Previous conventions were held in Kansas City, Missouri and Louisville, Kentucky.

    The Miami East-MVCTC FFA Chapter received a Three-Star National Chapter Award, the highest award bestowed to an FFA Chapter. The chapter was selected for this honor based on its activities during the previous school year, in the areas of growing leaders, building communities, and strengthening agriculture.

    Have you updated your information in FinalForms yet?  All parents in grades 1st thru 12th are required every year to verify and update information in FinalForms as soon as possible for the 2022-23 school year to ensure that they receive important school updates.

    Vaccinations.  7th and 12th graders are required to turn in their vaccinations.  If you have any questions, please contact the building's office.


    BILLBOARD WINNER For the second year in a row, our very own Jackson Gray won the Miami County Solid Waste District Billboard Contest. Jackson's artwork will be displayed on a billboard in Miami County this summer. Brad Petry presented the award to Jackson on Monday.

    District-wide Assembly to Honor Miami East for Momentum Award

    Charlotte McGuire, State Board of Education Representative for District 3, will present Miami East with a Momentum Award on Friday, March 23rd in the HS gym.  Students from the K-8 building will join high school students in the special assembly.  The Momentum Award recognizes exceptional performance by schools for receiving A’s on each Value-Added measure on the state report card. Congratulations to all Miami East students, parents, and staff!

    Progress Book.  For the 2022-2023 school year the Miami East School District will once again utilize Progress Book to updates students and parents regarding grades. Progress Book is a district-wide, web-based solution for K-12 schools. Progress Book enables parents and students to see student progress and see grades online. It can be accessed 24/7 from any internet web-browser.  Please utilize Progress Book to stay updated on your son/daughter’s grades.
