  • Toys for Tots
    On behalf of the Miami East Athletic Department and the Mens' & Womens' Basketball Teams we would like to thank everyone who participated in this year’s Annual Toys for Tots Program.  Thanks to your generosity over 400 toys were collected for local children.  Thanks to all of you for making a child’s Christmas a little brighter this season!  Viking Fans scored a victory this year with this program!

    Bus Drivers Needed
    Looking for a job that coincides with your son/daughter’s school schedule???   Bus Drivers are a perfect job that will always coincide with your children’s school schedule!  Do you want to be a Bus Driver?  Fill out an application today in the Miami East Board Office. We always need conscientious and safe minded drivers.

    Progress Book….now you know the grades

    Have you ever had this conversation with your son/daughter?  “How are you doing in school…followed by I don’t know?”

    For the past sixteen years, Miami East has utilized an online gradebook to grant parent and student access to grades.  Progress Book parent access enables parents and students to see student progress and see grades online. It can be accessed 24/7 from any internet web-browser.


    ONE CALL NOW

    The Miami East School District will periodically utilize the One Call Now system to relay information to parents.  The alerts will be sent to your home phone number. 

    If you would like to switch your home phone number to a cell number instead…simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change at trappold@miamieast.k12.oh.us

    Even if you updated your phone number last year, please contact Dr. Rappold with any phone number you want listed other than your home number this year.  This update must be completed every year.  Simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change and the name of your son/daughter at trappold@miamieast.k12.oh.us


    Substitute Custodians Needed
    Do you want to be a substitute custodian?  Fill out an application today in the Miami East Board Office.


    Miami East Jr. Diamond Sports-Thank you Troy Foundation for the additional grant we received that allowed us to complete the blacktop path back to the concession stand. Last year, MEJRDS, received a grant from the Troy Foundation and the Miami County Foundation to lay the first phase. These supplementary funds allowed us to extended the path making the fields more accessible for ALL! We look forward to using in the 2020 season!


    Elementary - Girls on the Run

    The Girls on the Run (GOTR) program encourages girls to recognize their individual strengths and to make and celebrate connections with others. The girls learn about teamwork, healthy relationships, contributing in their community, and how to make a positive impact on the world.


    2019-2020 Immunization Info  Attention all current 6th graders:

    Incoming 7th graders for the 2019-2020 school year are reminded that they must show proof of the following immunization before they may enter school.  This coming fall, incoming 7th graders will be required to have documentation of 1 dose of Tdap vaccine.  In addition, meningococcal vaccine will also be required for the upcoming school year prior to entry to the 7th grade.

     

    Attention Building Volunteers!!!

    Our background check for volunteers is changing.  Volunteers will now need to fill out a form from the office.  The form will be used to run a background check.  The district will pick up the cost for the background check and it will be current for 3 years.  We are appreciative of all that our volunteers do at Miami East!
