Welcome to my webpage! I graduated from Troy High School in 1995. I then attended Ohio University and Wright State University, where I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I earned my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Nova Southeastern University in 2004. I spent my first year teaching at The Dayton Academy in Dayton, and this is my 22nd year at Miami East.
I have been married for twenty-three years to my husband Nathaniel, who is a Financial Advisor with Wright Patt Credit Union. We have two beautiful daughters. Gretchen is nineteen and in her second year at Ohio University, studying Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with her eyes on law school, and she's also working as an RA. Bianca is sixteen, newly licensed, and is a sophomore at MEHS. She is a varsity golfer and swimmer. We also have three dogs, Lyla, Clover, and Obi, our tri-pawd wonder dog. We are proud residents of Miami East School District (Go Vikings!).
In my free time (what's that?) I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, watching my girls on the golf course or in the pool, and spending time with my family. I love to travel, especially to the beach, and look forward to our family vacation to North Myrtle Beach each summer.
By far, my favorite thing about teaching is my students. I'm so fortunate to get to spend so much time with them each day.
