In Chile, we studied at various universities and were able to visit many historic sites while living in Concepción along with the capital, Santiago. During my undergraduate study, I was selected to become a member of the prestigious Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Academic Honors Society. In the summer of 2011, I was fortunate enough to travel on a mission trip to La Palma, Costa Rica where I served as the group translator and fellowship worker in the small secluded town. In June 2014, I lead a group of students to Perú where they were able to utilize their conversational skills and historic knowledge as well as explore the majestic Land of the Incas. In July 2014, I married my wife Sarah in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. In June 2015, I went on a medical mission to Quito, Ecuador working in a clinic and at the end of the trip had the opportunity to visit the Galápagos Islands (Isabella). In the summer of 2016, I led a group of students to Madrid and Barcelona, Spain. Highlights of this trip included Parque Guell, Sagrada Familia, las Ramblas, Museo del Prado, Museo de Picasso, and side trips to Toledo, Zaragosa and Montserrat. In the spring of 2018, I traveled to Cuba with my father-in-law and had some amazing experiences. In the summer of 2018, I led a group of students to Panamá where we explored Panamá Vieja, downtown Panama City, the Panama Canal and the tropical rainforest that sprawls throughout the country. In June 2024, I will be leading a group of students back to Spain. For this trip we will begin in Madrid and finish our 9-day trip in the Mediterranean costal cities of Costa del Sol and Málaga.
