Hello! My name is Miss Black and I will be your child’s first grade
teacher. I have worked at Miami East for two years but this is my
first year teaching 1 st grade! I am very excited to get to know each of you and for this upcoming school year!

I am originally from the Saint Paris area and graduated from
Graham in 2009. I received my teaching license from Urbana
University’s Post Baccalaureate Program in December of 2016.

While at Urbana University I did my student teaching here at
Miami East with a 1 st grade class! I then became the instructor for
the Title 1 Reading & Math Program for 2nd and 3rd grade. I was
the Title teacher for two years before moving into this position.
