Welcome to Mrs. Seger's First Grade SiteMrs. Betsy SegerFirst Grade Teacher937-335-5439 ext. 6320bseger@miamieast.k12.oh.usMiami East Elementary - Room 320Hi. My name is Mrs. Seger and I am SO excited to be part of the Miami East Local Schools District! Most importantly, I am THRILLED to be your teacher! It’s going to be a fun year full of learning and new adventures, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to know ALL about YOU, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.
I was born and raised in Russia, OH and I am the youngest of FIVE! I have two older sisters, Lynn and Sue, and two older brothers, Bill and Ben. I have 3 nephews, Connor, Parker and Henry and 7 nieces, Taylor, Evelyn, Lauren, Ruby, Brooklyn, Madison and Katelyn. I LOVE ALL of them.
I was a Russia Local School 2007 graduate. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Wright State University in 2011 and couldn’t wait to graduate and start teaching.
This is my ninth year teaching at Miami East Local Schools – Go Vikings! My first two years I was the instructor for the Title I Reading Intervention Program for kindergarten and first grade students. This year will mark my seventh year in first grade. I love first grade because I know just where you’re coming from and exactly where you need to go!
I am married to a fun-loving man, Tony, who is an electrician at Boerger Electric and part-time farmer. Tony raises steers and farms land growing corn, wheat and beans. Tony also served 6 years in the Army Reserve National Guard where he did a one year tour in Iraq. Tony and I enjoy spending time outdoors, being physically active and enjoying the company of family and friends. We also love being parents! Tony and I have a precious little boy, Urban. He has stolen our hearts and we love watching him learn and grow.
I am so excited to be your “coach” and for you to be part of this AWESOME, all-star “team” we have lined up for Room 320. This is going to be a “home run” year!
