Parents, how often have you had this conversation with your son or daughter? “What do you want to do when you graduate….followed by I don’t know.”
Miami East High School has a created a program this year to assist parents and students called Career Connections.
The District has made plans to utilize Success Grant Funds to introduce a new supplemental position at the high school termed “Career Connections”.
The District’s goal is to better assist students graduating that are not planning on attending college or enlisting in the military and assist them in gaining full-time employment.
Our goal is to better assist our students and parents in putting them in a position to be employed when they graduate from Miami East. The Career Connections position will work on job site visits, writing resumes, job shadowing, job fairs, and assisting our seniors in locating a full time job upon graduating from Miami East.
