  • This week is Homecoming or “Homequaranting” week. Tomorrow is Cowboy Day, wear your finest bandana. Wednesday is Movie/TV Day, dress like your favorite movie or tv character. Thursday is Quarantine Day, dress like you did during quarantine. Friday is Blue and White Day, YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO!

    C Just a reminder, this cannot be stressed enough.  Repeat after me...if anyone in your household is being tested...everyone needs to stay home until you receive the results.  If in doubt… please contact Dr. Rappold before sending your son/daughter to school.  It takes everyone’s teamwork to ensure everyone is safe.

    Junior and Senior: Powder Puff shirts order forms are available in the front office. Cost is $10.00 and money is due with the order. Orders deadline is September 16th.

    Congratulations to the Miami East Cross Country teams in action on Saturday at the Brookville Invitational.  The boys team finished in 4th place out of 9 full teams competing.  The boys were led by Andrew Crane who finished in 24th place out of 98 total runners.  The Viking top-seven were: Andrew Crane, Elijiah Willmeth, Clark Bennett, Josh Amheiser, Adam Bensman, Caleb Richter, and Garret LeMaster. The girls team finished in 3rd place out of 9 complete teams competing.  The girls were led by Maryn Gross who finished in 4th place out of 70 runners.  She was followed closely by Kendal Staley and Kiley Davie in 11th and 12th place.  The girls top-seven were as follows: Maryn Gross, Kendal Staley, Kiley Davie, Cyrena McAdams, Lana McAdams, Sarah Weaver, and Grace Slone. Congratulations to the following athletes who earned a seasonal best time for their performance on Saturday; Garrett LeMaster, Cyrena McAdams, Grace Sloan, Kierstin Thomas, Sarah Weaver, Maryn Gross, Michael Till.

    Any student interested in joining pride in ME should come sign up on Ms. Byrne's door and grab a slip of paper from the envelope (which has the Google Classroom Class code) for you to join.

    Reminder to Seniors: If you have not turned in your shot records to the office please do so ASAP!

    All forms including Emergency Medical, Electronics Acceptable Use Policy, Student Handbook, Web Page, and Student Dance Agreement are due asap. If you need new forms please see Mrs. Hall in the front office.

    Attention those interested in Ohio State: There will be a Zoom meeting with a rep from OSU on TOMORROW during 4th period. The rep will also cover information about Columbus. See Mr. Rutledge if interested.

    Attention Juniors and Seniors: An ACT workshop will be held September 27th and October 3rd at Fort Loramie High School. See Mr. Rutledge if interested!

    Substitute Custodian
    Have you ever thought about being a substitute custodian? We are currently looking for substitute custodians that can be available on an as needed basis. If interested in becoming a custodian please send an email to Dr. Rappold or call at 937-335-750


    The Miami East School District will periodically utilize the One Call Now system to relay information to parents.  The alerts will be sent to your home phone number. 

    If you would like to switch your home phone number to a cell number instead…simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change at

    Even if you updated your phone number last year, please contact Dr. Rappold with any phone number you want listed other than your home number this year.  This update must be completed every year.  Simply contact Dr. Rappold with that change and the name of your son/daughter at

    Athletic Passes.  Viking fans may purchase a limited season pass.  These punch passes are only good for 10 admissions, but those can be any home sporting event.  Punch passes may be purchased for students or adults, high school or junior high events.  The price for an adult pass for high school games is $54, while a student pass for high school games is $20.  The cost of an adult pass for junior high games will be $36, while a student pass for junior high games will be $20.

    Progress Book.  For the 2020-2021 school year the Miami East School District will once again utilize Progress Book to updates students and parents regarding grades. Progress Book is a district-wide, web-based solution for K-12 schools. Progress Book enables parents and students to see student progress and see grades online. It can be accessed 24/7 from any internet web-browser.  Please utilize Progress Book to stay updated on your son/daughter’s grades.
