  • MEJH is looking for volunteers!

Miami East Junior High is excited to announce that we will be providing our 8th grade students an opportunity to learn a little about life as an adult.  Volunteers are needed in order to make this an impactful activity for our students.  On May 19, 2023 all 8th grade students will have the opportunity to take part in a real-life simulation.  Students will choose a career, receive a monthly salary, and be invited to make purchases that adults make each month.  Stations will be set-up where students can deposit money at the bank, make a house payment, pay for child care, buy groceries, and make other purchases that are typically found in a monthly budget.  Volunteers will be provided full information that describes in detail what to do at each station.  We would love to utilize volunteers at stations that connect to their area of expertise.
