The Miami East High School Art Room is collecting old buttons, magazines, and colorful fabric scraps for student projects. If you have any to spare, please send them with your student or drop them off at the high school main office.

The Homecoming Dance is on Saturday, October 10th from 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm in the High School Gymnasium. Tickets are $10.00 each for Miami East students and $20.00 for out of school guests. Tickets are on sale in the high school office before school, during meeting period, during lunches, and after school until 3:00 pm only. Ticket sales will run through Wednesday, October 7th. The high school office will remain open until 5:30 pm on Wednesday, October 7th as a courtesy for all of our off campus students. Absolutely no tickets will be sold at the door. If taking an outside guest, the outside guest forms must be filled out and turned in prior to purchasing their ticket. The forms are available in the front office.

Participants, please keep these guidelines in mind: everyone is welcome to participate, have proper signage and lights, have someone follow you to and from school, park near Viking Hall, no tractor riders in an open cab tractor, and be on time for school.

Brandt Wingate & Gabe Littlejohn were the Vikings top finishers yesterday in the TRC golf tournament. Both had a score of 88. Gradyn Spitler was right behind them with an 89! Congratulations!

Students are no longer permitted to carry backpacks with them during the school day.
All backpacks, book bags, and similar large bags are to be stored in students’ assigned lockers during the day. Students should plan ahead and take the materials they need for each class with them. Students will have opportunities to access their lockers throughout the school day as permitted by the school schedule and classroom expectations.
This change is being made for safety reasons.
