Welcome to Miami East Junior High!

A Message from Mr. Jason Unger, Principal

Dear Miami East Junior High Families,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Miami East Junior High! I am proud to serve as principal of such an outstanding school and to work alongside a dedicated staff, wonderful students, and supportive families. I look forward to another exciting year filled with learning, growth, and opportunities for success.

Miami East Junior High is a special place where students are encouraged to discover their strengths, explore new opportunities, and reach their full potential. Our teachers and staff are committed to creating a positive, welcoming, and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued, respected, supported, and safe.

At Miami East Junior High, we take great pride in The Viking Way: "Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Use Self-Control." These guiding principles are at the heart of everything we do. They help us build a strong school community centered on academic excellence, personal responsibility, positive relationships, and good character.

My goal as principal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. We strive to inspire a lifelong love of learning, encourage students to take an active role in their education, and help them develop the confidence and skills needed for success both inside and outside the classroom.

Sincerely,

Jason Unger
