In 2001 Governor Robert Taft signed into law a bill that allowsKorean Conflict & World War II Veterans to receive high school diplomas if their schooling was interrupted by serving America in the war. Miami East is searching for Veterans ofthe Korean Conflict & World War II who meet this criteria. Governor Robert Taft signed House Bill 11, The Veterans' Diplomas, sponsored by Rep. John Schlichter (R-Washington Court House), into law by on December 23, 2005. The legislation permits school districts to issue high school diplomas to Vietnam War veterans who left school to serve in the armed forces. |
