School Bus Safety Tips and Laws for Motorists

Never pass a school bus with flashing lights
In the state of Ohio, you must stop when driving from either direction (does not apply to multiple-lane or divided highways) until the children are safely off the street and the school bus lights stop flashing.  The yellow flashing lights signal you to slow down and prepare to make a complete stop. When the red light flashes, your vehicle must be fully stopped, even if the "stop sign" arm is not extended on the side of the bus.

WiFi Updates across the District .Miami East recently replaced the entire WiFi infrastructure within the district.  This project updated a system meant to provide "coverage" and replaced it with a system
that is capable operating at twice the speed!  The new system involves 130 Extreme Networks access points placed throughout the district including one in every classroom.  The system is monitored in real time with 24x7 support and replacement in the event that issues arise.

Final Forms is Open and ready for parents to start as of August 1st.  The Final Forms student registration process is for all students who attended during the 2020-2021 school year and new incoming students.  Incoming Kindergarten students who have already completed their Final Forms during the spring screening do not have to register again.  Go to the front page of the Miami East Website to begin.
