Dear MEHS Junior Class Parents
After-Prom Fundraising Information:
The next After Prom Committee is scheduled for Sunday, Jan. 18 at 7:00 in the high school lecture hall. The focus of the meeting will be the Quarter Auction. Please watch for an email later this week with more details.
The Junior Class funds and hosts the After-Prom event at Scene75. This provides them with a safe and drug-free option for our kids that also happens to be a BLAST! Our fundraising goal is $20,000. Prom is on Saturday, April 18th, so we don’t have much time.
The main fundraiser for the After Prom is the Quarter Auction, which will be held on Sunday, March 1st at 2:00 PM in the high school. We need lots of volunteers to make the event successful. I am looking for individuals to coordinate the following things:
Silent Auction: Solicit local businesses for donations to the Silent Auction and help run the auction at the Quarter Auction
Concessions: We know that people will stay longer and spend more money if they don’t get hangry! Help run and stock the concessions throughout the event.
50/50 Raffle: Sell tickets and conduct drawing at the event.
If two or three people want to join together to head up each of these areas, I would love that! As the chair of the committee, I will be helping with all of these things as well.
What do we need from the Junior Class families?
· We are asking each junior class student to donate a basket that has a value of at least $25.00, but no more than $40.00.
· We also need families to step up and volunteer in some capacity to assist the day of the event if possible. We will send out a link to sign up to help closer to the date. Right now, we need individuals to volunteer to coordinate the areas above.
Basket Drop-off/Pickup: Mrs. Zerkle (works in high school cafeteria) can collect baskets during school hours from your student. Otherwise, please email or text Jen Kadel to arrange for a pickup (kadel4304@gmail.com; 937-418-3967)
Due date for baskets: Friday, February 20th
We will be discussing these activities at our next After Prom Committee meeting which is this Sunday, January 18th at 7:00 in the High School Lecture Hall. If you cannot make it, but would like to help, please contact Jen Kadel at kadel4304@gmail.com.

MEHS Junior Class—Winter Concessions
Junior Class Students & Families,
The MEHS Junior Class has one major fundraiser to raise funds that will fully fund our 2026 prom as well as senior activities including the 2027 graduation ceremony at Hobart Arena.
In order to make these amazing events possible for our students, we ask that all junior class students (and a family member) work a minimum of ONE home basketball game in the concession stand.
Students have been assigned a game to cover.
If this date that you have been assigned does not work, you are asked to find a replacement and/or switch with another student/family. You must also email Mr. Vanover to notify him of the switch (Mr. Vanover organizes and manages the concession stand coverage.
If you have questions, please reach out to Mr. Vanover.
