2/17/2026 Update
Junior Class Parents and Students:
The main fundraiser for the After Prom is the Quarter Auction, which will be held on Sunday, March 1st at 2:00 PM in the high school. (Doors open at 1:00 PM.)
Each junior class student is expected to either donate a themed basket that has a value between $25.00 and $40.00 or donate money by writing a check payable to Miami East Local Schools with Class of 2027 written in the memo line.
Right now, we only have about 20 baskets. Considering the number of students in the class, our original goal was to reach 100 baskets; but now we hope to at least receive a total of 50. We can make this happen if everyone does their part.
Basket Drop-off/Pickup: Mrs. Zerkle (works in high school cafeteria) is collecting baskets during school hours from your student, or you can drop them off in the office. Otherwise, please email or text Jen Kadel to arrange for a pickup (kadel4304@gmail.com; 937-418-3967)
Due date for baskets: THIS Friday, February 20th (Reach out to Jen if you need more time!)
Next Afterprom committee meeting is this Sunday, February 22nd at 7:00 PM in the High School Lecture Hall. All are welcome to attend!

Junior Class Parents and Students:
The Junior Class funds and hosts the After-Prom event at Scene75. This provides them with a safe and drug-free option for our kids that also happens to be a BLAST! Our fundraising goal is $20,000. Prom is on Saturday, April 18th, so we don’t have much time.

1/26/2026 Update
Hello Class of 2027 parents!
As we’ve mentioned, the junior class parents are raising money for this year’s after-prom (April 18 at Scene 75) and for our students’ senior brunch (graduation day next year.) It’s going to take all of us to be successful. We appreciate those that have reached out and asked how you can help.
Well, here’s how you can help! EVERY OPPORTUNITY IS LISTED BELOW. From volunteering at an event, to donating concession items for multiple events, there’s many ways for you and your student to help.
Please sign up for the assignment(s) that’s best for you by clicking on the link(s) listed below. As you’ll see we have a very busy March and it’s going to take all- hands-on-deck! QUARTER AUCTION INFORMATION
The Junior Class funds and hosts the After-Prom event at Scene75. This provides them with a safe and drug-free option for our kids that also happens to be a BLAST! Our fundraising goal is $20,000. Prom is on Saturday, April 18th, so we don’t have much time.
The main fundraiser for the After Prom is the Quarter Auction, which will be held on Sunday, March 1st at 2:00 PM in the high school. We need lots of volunteers to make the event successful. I am looking for individuals to coordinate the following things:
Silent Auction: Solicit local businesses for donations to the Silent Auction and help run the auction at the Quarter Auction
Concessions: We know that people will stay longer and spend more money if they don’t get hangry! Help run and stock the concessions throughout the event.
50/50 Raffle: Sell tickets and conduct drawing at the event.
If two or three people want to join together to head up each of these areas, I would love that! As the chair of the committee, I will be helping with all of these things as well.
What do we need from the Junior Class families?
· We are asking each junior class student to donate a basket that has a value of at least $25.00, but no more than $40.00.
· We also need families to step up and volunteer in some capacity to assist the day of the event if possible. We will send out a link to sign up to help closer to the date. Right now, we need individuals to volunteer to coordinate the areas above.
Basket Drop-off/Pickup: Mrs. Zerkle (works in high school cafeteria) can collect baskets during school hours from your student. Otherwise, please email or text Jen Kadel to arrange for a pickup (kadel4304@gmail.com; 937-418-3967)
Due date for baskets: Friday, February 20th
We will be discussing these activities at our next After Prom Committee meeting which is this Sunday, January 18th at 7:00 in the High School Lecture Hall. If you cannot make it, but would like to help, please contact Jen Kadel at kadel4304@gmail.com.
Thank you,
Brandy and Duanna
