8th Grade Promotion Ceremony

Thursday, May 22nd, 2025

Miami East High School Gym

7:00pm

a. All school fees need to be paid to attend the ceremony. Check your account with the office.

b.  8th graders must be academically eligible to participate in the 8th grade Promotion Ceremony. 

c.  All guests should enter through the back main athletic entrance after dropping off their student at the front main entrance of the high school.

d.  Guest seating will be in both the home and visitor sections of the gym.

e.  We will not use a ticketing system and guests won’t be limited.  Come one, come all.

f.  Floor seats are available for any disabled patrons in wheelchairs, walkers or who have difficulty with steps.

8th grade students need to be at the front main doors of Miami East High School between 6:30 – 6:45pm. Line-up will be at 6:45pm with the ceremony beginning promptly at 7:00pm

a. Students enter through the front main entrance of Miami East High School between 6:30 – 6:45pm. Parents will park and enter through the back athletic entrance.

b. Teachers will start lining up 8th graders at 6:45pm.

c. 8th graders are required to wear neat and appropriate ceremony clothing. We would prefer that students refrain from wearing jeans or shorts. Girls can wear a dress or nice slacks, and boys a shirt with a collar and slacks. No hats. (all elements of the school dress code will still apply) Dress to impress.
