Greetings Vikings,
I am thrilled to welcome you back for the 2026–2027 school year! I am honored and excited to begin my eighth year as Principal of Miami East Junior High and to continue working alongside such an outstanding staff dedicated to student success. I hope you had a relaxing and enjoyable summer and are feeling refreshed, recharged, and ready for the year ahead. We are excited to welcome both returning and new students and families to our school community.
Miami East is such a special place to learn and grow. Our students are kind, compassionate, and inquisitive. Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe. Our Viking Way motto of “Be Responsible, Be Respectful, and Use Self Control” will continue to guide our mission to provide a rigorous and joyful school environment. Our goal at MEJH is to encourage active student engagement to foster a lifetime love for learning, develop positive attitudes, and continue a strong emphasis on social emotional learning.
