We have received several requests from our community to record and share Miami East Board meetings. On Monday, we made our first attempt at recording both the Organizational and Regular Board meetings. While the audio quality of these initial recordings is not ideal, we are actively working to improve sound quality and enhance the overall video experience moving forward.

Miami East Schools has partnered with The Clothes Bin to provide a clothes and shoe recycling program. There is a bright green bin behind the Board Office. The district will receive money for every pound of clothes/shoes donated. If you have any used clothing or shoes, please consider recycling. All items need to be placed in the bin.

MELS will be hosting our annual Veteran’s Day breakfast on Wednesday, November 12th at 8:30. There will be a program in the HS Gym following breakfast. Our program will be held on November 12th instead of November 11th due to the presenters availability. See the flier for more details.

Miami East Local Schools is proud to announce that we’ve installed a new Alumni Hall of Fame display at the High School. The display was donated by the Alumni Association and is located right outside of the Lecture Hall. On Friday, October 3rd, the High School Gym entrance will be unlocked from 5 to 7 pm for anyone who would like to see the display in person. We will be inducting our newest member of the Miami East Alumni Hall of Fame, Mike Ullery class of 1975, following the Homecoming Queen and King Ceremony, which begins at 6:20 pm.

Today our 8th grade students participated in a Made in Miami County event hosted by the area Chamber of Commerce and Miami County ESC. Local business, organizations, and UVCC had stations set up where students could learn about different careers in our community.

Members of the community and the Miami East Alumni Association are hosting a Meet the Candidate Night on Wednesday, October 8th starting at 6:00 pm in the High School Cafeteria. Miami East Marching Band had some special guest for their halftime performance at this evenings football game against Covington. Shout out to the Miami East Marching Band and Junior High band for a great performance.
