As we head into the time of year when fog, winter weather and other conditions may impact the school day, we want to make sure every family knows where to find information regarding school delays and closures.

When a delay or closure occurs, Miami East Local Schools will use an Apptegy Alert to communicate the information quickly across multiple platforms. The alert will be shared through:

•SMS/text message
•Audio/voice message
•Email
•Miami East app push notification
•Miami East website
•Live Feed on the district website
•District Facebook page

School delays and closures will also be shared with local television stations.

📱 We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to download the Miami East app and turn ON push notifications. The app gives families another immediate way to receive important district alerts while also providing easy access to district news, announcements, calendars and other information.

You do not have to have the app to receive district text messages, emails or other notifications, provided your contact information is current with the district.

Our goal is to make sure families receive important information quickly, accurately and through multiple communication channels.
