ATTENDANCE REMINDER FOR PARENTS & GUARDIANS

As we begin the new school year, we want to remind families of our procedures for reporting student attendance.

If your student will be absent, arriving late, or leaving early, please contact the school office directly.

Attendance notifications will only be accepted through:
• A phone call to the school office
• A written note/letter submitted to the school office

Please DO NOT send attendance notifications through Apptegy Rooms/Two-Way Messaging. Messages sent through Rooms will not be accepted as official attendance notifications.

Tomorrow, Miami East Local Schools will hold its first district-wide Pep Rally of the school year at the high school to celebrate the start of our fall sports and activities! Please note: This Pep Rally is for Miami East students ONLY. With students from across the district coming together, the gym will be at capacity, and we are unable to accommodate parents, families, or other guests. We’re asking ALL students and staff to wear your Viking colors — BLUE & WHITE — tomorrow and help us show our Miami East pride! We’re excited to bring our students together, celebrate our fall athletes and activities, and kick off the season with plenty of Viking spirit! GO VIKINGS!

MVCTC Students will be release early tomorrow, August 25th so they can attend the pep rally at Miami East High School. Our bus will leave the MVCTC at 12:40pm. The pep rally will begin at 1:30pm. Go Vikings!

Attention Parents: We are in the process of building bus routes this week. All Kindergarten and newly enrolled students will be placed on a route (As long as Final Forms are complete). Student that rode the bus last year will also be placed on a route. Routes will remain similar to previous years. MVCTC Parents: Starting tomorrow, the MVCTC bus will be leaving the High School at promptly 7:05am. If your student is riding the bus, please make sure they are at the school by 7:00am. The bus will meet behind the High School at door number 12. The bus will return around 3:30pm depending on traffic.

On Wednesday, August 5 at 6 pm in the high school cafeteria, Miami East schools will be hosting a meet and greet so that parents and the community can meet all the new administrators serving the district this coming school year. Please join us in welcoming Elementary Principal Mrs. Sue Dankworth, High School Principal Mrs. Kelly Kauffman, Director of Operations Mr. Donn Craig, Treasurer Mrs. Hannah Davis, and Superintendent Dr. Joseph Hoelzle. Each administrator will give a brief introduction, then there will be time to have conversation and make personal introductions. Cupcakes and Lemonade will be provided to foster new relationships.
